How to Determine Your Ring Size

All rings sold on our website are in US sizes (please confer to the International Ring Size Equivalents chart if you do not know your US size).

The most accurate way to determine your actual ring size is to visit a local jeweler to have your ring size checked (US size) before placing your order. However, if you decide to measure your ring size yourself - here are a few tips to help you get the best possible result.

Tips for finding your ring size:

• Make sure you don't measure your finger when your hands are cold. Your finger size may also change with time of day, time of the month, exercise, humidity, pregnancy etc.
• If your knuckle is much larger than the base of your finger, measure both the knuckle and the base of your finger and select a size in between the two.
• The best size is usually the ring that fits snugly and gives a little resistance when you take it off. Wider rings should be a little looser than narrow rings.
• Men! - If you are not used to wearing a ring, the right size will probably feel a little tight at first. Many men loose their wedding ring because they choose rings that are too loose.

Other tips and information:

• Rings and metal gauges are metal objects and can be measured exactly. Your finger is not round and can't be measured to the same accuracy as the ring. At the end of the day, the right ring is the one that will stay on comfortably.
• Ring size gauges and published charts do not always concur.
• There are two different methods of reading ring measurements so it is quite common for ring sizes to vary slightly from one jeweler to another.

How to measure your finger and compare it to the chart

• 1. Find a piece if non-stretchy string about 6" long, or a strip of paper about 6" long and ¼" wide.
• 2. Wrap it snugly around the base of your finger.
• 3. Using a pen, mark the point on the string or paper where it overlaps, forming a complete circle.
• 4. Measure the length of the string or paper and compare it to the chart below to determine your ring size. If you are between ring sizes, order the larger size.

The measurements found below are correct for the American system and approximate for the other rings sizing scales, as the intervals in the different systems do not match exactly.
